Pay lots of money for a good display and it will be worth it, I also have an eyeone can calibrate my monitors and I can see the difference between a chap and good display! Look for the highlights washing out too, like 1-2% grey blowing out to white on the display. When you are looking at a display try to will the screen with a mid grey, and look for even colour, even lighting, make sure the backlit is not bleeding or washing out areas of the screen.Īlso look a the screen from a 45 degree angle, On cheap displays the colours will change, geys look brownish etc. As a tip check the LCD type and viewing angles in the specs - the wider the angle the better. One other super minor thing: When navigating with Windows, I never have to waste my time with the mouse.

I would use spotlight for everything, but many times I'm working off servers on my local network that spotlight won't search in.

I'm sure I can download some plugin, but wth Apple? I work on a lot of web stuff and having that address bar is just much more intuitive and useful.

I'm also know of the path bar at the bottom of Finder that tells you your current directory but does not allow you to edit it. I know I could use CMD+G, but it's slightly more un-intuitive simply because it does not auto-populate the path text entry with your current directory. The biggest part of it being faster is having an address bar. Window Snap is definitely part of it - but I also just find it faster.
